About Caitlin

Walking alongside others while they face the depths of their traumas and learn new ways to find fulfillment in life is one of my greatest passions. I have learned, through my own experiences, that having a healthy support system, safe ways of healing and sustainable coping skills are the key to finding nourishment for the soul and recovery. I graduated from California Lutheran University and jumped straight into private practice where I utilize my strengths and knowledge to support and comfort those seeking recovery from trauma, attachment wounds and psychological distress. I am trained in brainspotting, which is aimed at identifying, processing, and releasing trauma trapped in the body and brain. My therapy style can be viewed as eclectic and aimed most greatly at what works best for the client sitting with me. I am passionate about my work and provide a warm and safe space for clients to explore and grow.

I believe that growth is never found by mere chance; it is the outcome of forces working together synonymously to create positive change and self-understanding. I encourage my clients to think for themselves and to put in the work not only in the context of our work in therapy, but in their daily lives. When we work to see and understand our challenges more clearly, deepen our thoughts, and reach new conclusions, we find ourselves anew. I work with clients who are motivated to seek growth and self-discovery from within while utilizing tools in sessions to construct new meanings and pave the path to their future.

Fun Facts

My dog is my best friend. His name is Buffler and he is a 7 year old Corgi. He is full of energy and the light of my life. You will sometimes see him pop into the frame on video sessions, hear him in the background or even get to snuggle with him in session (if you approve of his attendance, of course!).

My favorite flower is a lotus because I thoroughly connect with their meaning and symbolism. Lotus flowers symbolize rebirth, strength and overcoming adversity. Lotus flowers are rooted in mud, and their stems have to grow through the mud and to the top of the water in order to bloom. As you can see, sometimes we have to work through the muck in order to attain the warmth of the sun and experience the full potential of our growth.

My favorite season is Winter because I do not believe there is anything better than being snuggled up into a blanket, while watching your favorite movie or reading a book you can't seem to put down.
